Payments under GMS and Good Friday

Payments under GMS and Good Friday

Further to our email last week please find part 2 of our breakdown of payments to GPs. This week’s email sets out the calculation of leave payments and the medical indemnity rebate. Please click here for the guide.

In addition to this we would like to confirm the arrangements for Good Friday (14th April 2017). Good Friday is treated as a Public Holiday for the purposes of the GMS and therefore where the GP does not have a routine or regular surgery on Good Friday and they see a patient for an unforeseen and/or urgent consultation they may claim this as an Out of Hours Consultation.
