Wednesday 4th February 2015. The Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) has
said that the crisis in hospital Emergency Departments will not be resolved
until additional beds are made available across the hospital system
HSE figures confirm emergency department attendances up by 13% while
numbers of beds and home help hours slashed
Evidence now of elderly patients refusing to go into Emergency Departments
even when their condition demands it
GP surgeries could be overwhelmed with extra patients if the crisis in A+E
services continues over the coming days.
