IMPORTANT UPDATE ON PUBLIC SERVICE INDUSTRIAL ACTION

 

We wish to advise that, following a meeting of all public service unions, including the IMO, it has been agreed that;

• Following extensive engagement with Government, Public Sector Unions will enter discussions with Government on a process for a negotiation under an independent chair.  The details of this negotiating framework will be agreed over the coming days and any negotiating process will immediately commence.

 In these circumstances it is agreed that: 

• The Work Stoppage planned for Wednesday 21^st October is SUSPENDED NOT WITHDRAWN

• The Work To Rule which is ongoing REMAINS IN PLACE 

Each and every IMO member who took part either by attending a picket line or attending onsite to deliver derogated services played a huge part in changing Government attitude – Thank You.

The campaign continues and there are challenging negotiations ahead. We will keep you informed of developments.
