PANEL DISCUSSIONS
Thursday 9th April
Measuring Productivity in Healthcare – this session will explore what metrics and outcomes we should use in measuring productivity and how that data should inform policy and funding. A strong focus of the discussion will be around the importance of ensuring quality care is not compromised in any productivity drive.
Friday 10th April
The Changing Nature of Addiction – our panel will discuss new patterns and challenges in addiction in Ireland and explore what services are needed within our health services to meet those challenges.
Saturday 11th April
International Doctors in Ireland: Lived Experiences and Perspectives – our health services rely on the many International Doctors who have chosen to make Ireland their home. This session will examine the personal experiences of our colleagues and discuss how we can better support them.
HOT TOPICS @ IMO AGM
We will be hosting a series of Hot Topic Sessions on Friday and Saturday at the AGM including:
- Unplugged: The Impact of Screen Time on Children’s Health and Development
- Digitalising Health Services: HSE Plans
- AI: Will Technology Undermine the Human Experience?
- A Bad Influence? Social Media, Influencers and the Spread of Health Misinformation
We are also delighted to announce that Dr. Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, Minister for Health, will address delegates on Friday, 10th April and Ms Anne O’Connor, CEO, HSE will address delegates on Saturday 11th April.
