The Irish Medical Organisation is a member of the Public Service Committee of ICTU which has concluded negotiations with Government on a new Public Services agreement 2024 – 2026.

 

The IMO will now convene meetings of IMO Council and our National Specialty Committees for NCHDs, Consultants, Public and Community Health Doctors to consider the terms of that Agreement, both pay and non pay items, following which we will hold a ballot of all members on the agreement. 

 

The following are the terms around general pay increases and over the coming weeks we will set out detailed documentation around the projected pay rates for the various grades over the lifetime of the agreement. 

 

Pay Terms:

 

2024

• 2.25% increase in annualised basic salary or €1,125 (whichever is greater) from 1^st January 2024
• 1% increase on 1^st June 2024
• 1% increase or €500 (whichever is the greater) on 1^st October 2024

 

2025

• 2% increase or €1000 (whichever is greater) on 1^st March 2025
• 1% increase on 1^st August 2025

 

 

2026

• 1% or €500 (whichever is greater) on 1^st February 2026
• 1% on 1^st June 2026

 

There is an additional 1% of the pay bill for Local Bargaining Arrangements.
