Compensatory Rest Entitlements
These are specific entitlements for Consultants on rosters on a 1 in 4 roster or greater. These entitlements apply to those on the 2008 and POCC contracts.
For those on a roster of a 1 in 1 or a 1 in 2 the entitlements are as follows:
- 1 : 1 on-call roster entitles the Consultant to 5 days in lieu per 4 week period;
- 1 : 2 on-call roster entitles the Consultant to 3 days in lieu per 4 week period;
For those on a 1 in 3 or a 1 in 4 the calculation is more complicated.
There is a minimum entitlement of 15 days per annum for those on a 1:3 or 10 days for those on a 1:4 rota.
Separately your entitlement should be calculated by reference to each on-call incident as follows:

This rest time should be calculated at the end of the calendar month, and generally should be taken within a month, or at the latest within 8 weeks.
If it is not possible to take then the Rest should be paid at the applicable hourly rate.
