As you will know, the final pay measure under the Building Momentum National Agreements fell due on 1^st October last. That increase was either an increase of 1.5% on basic salary, or €750, whichever is the greater. 

Typically, there have been long delays in having these pay measures implemented in the health service. The IMO has continued to engage with the HSE in this regard and has been given the following payment dates for the various HSE payroll areas.

 

SAP Payroll Areas

Payroll Area	Latest Date for Payment of New Rates and Arrears
East	14th December
Mid West	30th November
Midlands	15th December
North West	8th December
South	12th December
South East	30th November

 

Non SAP Payroll Areas

Payroll Area	Latest Date for Payment of New Rates	Latest Date for Payment of Arrears
North East	30th November	28th December
West	20th December	20th December

 

The dates above are the latest dates by which pay and arrears should be changed to reflect the new pay rates from 1^st October; it can be expected that many members will have their pay rates changed in advance of the dates above.

Importantly, however, given the previous difficulties experienced in making sure that NCHDs get pay movements in their current rotation, it was important to receive confirmation that these payments will be discharged prior to the January 2024 changeover.
