As you know, the Consultant membership of the IMO recently voted to accept the proposed new arrangements with regard to Consultant CME and Consultant Rest Days, copies of which can be read here and here.

The HSE has been notified of the outcome of the ballot, and the proposals will now become procedure. These new procedures will come into effect on 5th May 2014.

In advance of this date, I would advise Consultants to familiarise themselves with the new procedures.
