Following on from IMO meetings with GPs around the country the IMO have entered a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Health and the HSE on the scope of discussions for a new GP Contract
The incremental credit committee established under the recently concluded agreement on New Entrant Consultant Pay held its first meeting on 11 February 2015. The committee is due to meet again on 23 February 2015. IMO members are advised to hold off until the policy document of the committee is issued before submitting details of experience/ qualification to gain incremental credit.
The IMO is advising all Community Health Doctor and Public Health Doctor members not to comply with changes that may be implemented as a result of the reconfiguration of services managed by the Directorate of Health and Wellbeing.
The Irish medical Organisation (IMO) has raised concerns about the serious understaffing of many of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) units across the country. Unfortunately, the response from senior managers in the Mental Health Service (MHS) was one of ignoring the problem and refusing to engage with the IMO on the issues being highlighted to them.
