As part of the IMO NCHD Strategy and Engage for Change campaign, the aim of which is to

• Foster a culture of positive engagement among NCHDs working in Ireland;
• Ensure that the Irish Health Service can attract the best doctors and provide excellent training, defined career paths and the highest standard of patient care and safety;

It is vital that the IMO Strategy for your future and our day to day dealings with the HSE are truly representative of the views and needs of NCHDs.

Many thanks to NCHDs for completing the Benchmark Survey the results of which are now being compiled in preparation for their launch at the IMO National NCHD meeting to be held on Saturday 22nd October 2011 from 10am to 4pm in Croke Park, Dublin.

In addition to the survey results, a number of guest speakers will address topical issues arising from the survey including NCHD training and career paths. A full programme will be issued to NCHDs in the coming days and all NCHDs who wish to attend will be required to pre-register on line.

The IMO looks forward to meeting NCHDs on Saturday 22nd October.
