Identifying and Managing Domestic Violence Webinar

Close confinement and increased alcohol consumption at home during lockdown has left many individuals vulnerable to an increased risk of violence in the home. Our guest speakers discuss how to identify, recognise and manage patients who may have been subject to domestic violence and the supports that are available to them.
Dr. Madeleine Ní Dhálaigh, is a GP Partner in a group practice Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and a member of IMO GP committee. Dr Ní Dhálaigh is a trainer with the Ballinasloe GP training scheme and a member of START doctors group.
Dr Sumi Dunne is a GP in Portarlington, Co Laois and a member of the IMO GP and Council Committees. Dr Dunne is Clinical Lecturer in General Practice at the RCSI and in 2019, took up the role of medical expert on RTE’s Operation Transformation.
Dr Lisa Cunningham, is a 5th year SpR in Emergency Medicine. She is currently working as a HEMS doctor in the UK as part of her fellowship in prehospital emergency medicine.
