Minimising Your Tax Liability and Areas of Revenue Focus
- Ms Simone Hennessy, HSOC,  Chartered Certified Accountants 

This session will provide last chance tax advice in advance of tax filing deadline of 14th November and will give an insight into areas of current Revenue focus. GPs may book a complimentary 15 minute general taxation appointment with Ms Hennessey from 1.30pm – 3.00pm by emailing Leah Kenny lkenny@imo.ie . Appointments will be made on a first come, first served basis.

The Medico - Legal Challenges in Daily Practice
- Ms Ruth Shipsey ,CEO, Medisec

This session will enable GPs to better understand a number of key risk factors in general practice and be better equipped; (a) to review their practice of maintaining medical records; (b) to monitor whether they have a robust system in place to deal with tests, referrals and discharges, and: (c) to look at the manner in which they approach patient confidentiality and practical difficulties that can arise.  The focus will be on looking at trends in claims and complaints against GPs with a view to mitigating their risks and improving patient safety and care

The Use of Psychotropics in the Elderly Population’ &  Clinical Q&A session
- Dr Matthew Sadlier, Consultant Psychiatrist/ President, IMO

This session will equip GPs with a greater understanding of the pharmacology of psychotherapeutic agents especially among an elderly population. The participant would have specific understanding of the use of antidepressant therapy in the elderly as well as the pharmacological management of dementia including Behaviour and Psychological complications.
