Issues regarding centralisation of Medical Card applications

The IMO has written to the Labour Relations Commission seeking assistance relating to a number of administrative issues that have arisen from the restructuring of the HSE Office responsible for the administration of over 70s Medical Card holders. Individual GPs have raised concerns in relation to suspension or deletion of patients from panel lists without notification to either GP or patient.  It is important to note that the individual GP has no role in the certification of panel listings the maintenance of panel listings is the responsibility of the HSE and not an individual GP.

The IMO is awaiting a response from the Labour Relations Commission.
