Survey shows low morale among hospital consultants

Dr Trevor Duffy, Chairman of the IMO Consultant committee, in an interview with Eithne Donnellan for the Irish Times, said some of the consultants frustrations are “seeing patients in clinics not knowing when they would be able to book them in for surgery and not having sufficient secretarial support to communicate with GPs so letters could take three months to go out.”
