Dr Matthew Sadlier is President of the Irish Medical Organisation.
Dr. Matthew Sadlier MB, MSc, MRCPI, MICGP, MRCPsych. Dr. Sadlier was educated in Blackrock College and University College Dublin. After completing a basic medical training scheme in St. Vincent's Hospital Elm Park he worked in an completed General Practice Training in the Mid Western General Practice Training Scheme.
Following this he entered psychiatry completing basic professional training in the St. John of God training scheme as well as Higher Specialist Training as part of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland training scheme. He works as a consultant psychiatrist in The Dublin North West area with responsibilities in both Connolly Hospital and the Mater Hospital.
Dr. Sadlier trained in Dyslectic Behavioural Therapy and has a strong interest in personality assessment; the treatment of personality disorders and the portrayal of mental health issues in the media. He also completed a Masters in Leasership and Management Development with the RCSI institute of leadership and lectures on change management in health care organisations.
Dr. Sadlier has a keen interest in both comedy performance and writing and is an occasional musician.
