NCHD Engage For Change Campaign

The IMO has launched an NCHD ‘Engage for Change’ the aim of which is to foster a culture of positive engagement among NCHDs working in Ireland to ensure that the Irish Health Service can attract the best doctors and provide excellent training, defined career paths and the highest standard of patient care and safety. This engagement is particularly crucial given the recent difficulties in both the recruitment and retention of NCHDs in the HSE.

The first phase of the campaign is the completion of a series of NCHD Engage for Change meetings held in 24 hospitals around the country from 15th August to 2nd September 2011.The meetings were well attended with NCHDs engaging positively with the campaign.
