European and International Organisations

The International Affairs Unit handles the IMO’s relationships with foreign medical and health organisations. These are principally:

CPME (Comité Permanente des Médecins Europeénes) represents the interests of its member National Medical Associations. The IMO is an active member. This site has one of the best links pages for those interested in medical matters in the EU.

UEMS (Union Europeéne des Médecins Specialistes) represents the interests of consultants throughout Europe. Members include all EU Member States and most of the Applicant States. The IMO is an active member.
